There are some interesting points worth discovering with regards to the current futures. Who's the Leader?It's no surprise that the Blackhawks are 7-1 favorites among hockey betting experts to win the Stanley Cup again. The Blackhawks are expected to have a large part of this past year's team back, what with the team managing the salary cap quite well. Expect Jonathan Powes, Patrick Sharp, Patrick Kane and Conn Smythe winner Duncan Keith to come back. Who's Running For It?The New York Rangers have 8-1 odds from the BetRoyal sportsbook to win the cup. It is uncertain if Martin St. Louis will be back though. The Anaheim Ducks are listed next at 10-1. The team already has a strong core with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry at the lead. The Tampa Bay Lightning and St. Louis Blues are both listed with 12-1 odds. The Blues in particular are hoping to have another breakout year from Vladimir Tarasenko. Other Interesting NotesThe Los Angeles Kings and Pittsburgh Penguins both have 14-1 odds. The Kings failed to reach the playoffs and have several players that need to be resigned. Meanwhile, the Penguins, who almost missed the playoffs this year, are bearing with rumors that Evgeni Malkin may not be happy with the team. The Edmonton Oilers haven't reached the playoffs since 2006 but they have 33-1 odds. They are expected to draft Connor McDavid, a forward listed as the best prospect since Sidney Crosby.
