Will The Pats Get Win #5 - San Diego Chargers vs New England Patriots |
Written by Michael |
Bet on the NFLThe San Diego Chargers (2-4) host the New England Patriots (4-1) in the Week 7 of the 2010 NFL season. The Pats are aiming for their 5th win in a row, which will put them in good standing in the AFC East, where the 5-1 Jets take the top spot.
The Patriot’s safety Brandon Meriweather released a statement recently apologizing for his helmet-on-helmet hit on Todd Heap, a hit which cost him a serious $50,000 as part of the NFL’s crackdown on dangerous play. Meriweather wasn’t the only player fined this week, James Harrison of the Steelers and Dunta Robinson of the Falcons also faced pay docking by the NFL, but hey, they’re just looking out for the athletes. At this point Meriweather just wants to put the whole dramatic ordeal behind him and focus on Sundays game. “I’m going to try my best to play within the rules, like my couach had always taught us. I’m going to hit and play the game like my coaches have always taught us. Even in training camp, we have always been taught the proper way to hit. Just focus on that and try to put it in my game in some way, shape or fashion.” For NFL Betting: San Diego is tied for last place in the AFC West, but trails the division-leading Chiefs by just 1.5 games. Sportsbook lists the Chargers as the home faves at minus 3 with the over under at 47.5. |
