Bet on the NFL The top of the AFC South, the Indianapolis Colts host the third place Tennessee Titans in the final week of the 2010 NFL regular season. The Colts are 9 and 6 going into Week 17, while the Titans are just the opposite at 6 and 9. It will be a very familiar rematch as the two teams met not too long ago in Week 14 at Indianapolis. If Tennessee defeats Indianapolis and Jacksonville wins at Houston (5-10), the Jaguars (8-7) would win the AFC South. The Colts can clinch the division with a win or tie against the Titans or a loss by the Jaguars. No team but the Titans and Colts has won the division since its creation in 2002.

As for the Titans, they had very little hope for the playoffs this season, and that hope was crushed last weekend when they lost to the Chiefs 34-14. But that doesn’t mean the players will slack off this weekend. Coach Fisher assured that everyone will go full force this weekend, even though there is no hope for a post season this year. Avid sports bettors know that football can be unpredictable. The Titans should have had an excellent 2010, and after an 0 and 6 start in 2009 they won eight of the last 10 games to finish 8 and 8. They led the AFC South with a 5-2 record but then fell into a 6 game losing streak starting with San Diego on Halloween.

Sportsbook lists the Colts as the minus 9.5 point favorites this Sunday with the total over under at 48.

As for the Colts, they’ve learned that they need more than just Peyton Manning to pull them through. And it showed last weekend when the racked up 191 rushing yards in the 31-26 win over the Raiders. The run game certainly looked different from weeks past. Dominic Rhodes, playing in his second game since rejoining the club earlier this year, led the way with 98 yards on 17 carries, while Joseph Addai returned from an eight-game absence due to a neck injury to run 12 times for 45 yards.
