Bet on the NFL  The Houston Texans host the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night in Week 14 of the 2010 NFL regular season. The Texans are the plus 3 point underdogs in this matchup, with the total over under listed at 45.5. In recent Ravens news, the NFL has fined Bet on the NFL Ravens linebacker Jameel McClain $40,000 for his helmet hit that left Steelers tight end Heath Miller with a concussion. Here are some points to consider when sports betting:  The Houston Texans have had three more days to prepare for this intraconference match-up as the Texans played on Thursday Night football last week.  The Texans have surrendered 24 or more points in eleven of twelve games this season. The only game they didn't was a shutout against a Rusty Smith led Titans offense that hadn't scored an offensive touchdown in over three games.

The Houston Texans are 1-5 since the bye.

Their only victory came against the Tennessee Titans in the midst of a five game losing streak.  The Ravens are 3-0 following a loss this season. They haven't lost consecutive games since Week 4-6 of the 2009 season.

The Houston Texans injury list could nearly field an offensive and defensive side. They have eleven players on the injured reserve and five more questionable for Monday Night. Mario Williams and Bernard Pollard are two of the questionable players.

The Ravens big losses could be Todd Heap and Le'Ron McClain. They're both questionable for the game. It's still nothing compared to the Texans injury list (or the whole AFC South, for that matter). The Texans appear to be a lock at giving up 24 or more points per game. With that in mind, sports betting fans should know the Texans probably need a minimum of 25 points against the Ravens defense to have a good opportunity for victory.
