Bet on the NFLThe fourth and final week of preseason games in the NFL are coming up this weekend. For some, it is a final tuneup before the real games begin. For others, it is the last chance that some may have to prove why they should be left on the final rosters for their teams during the start of the season.

Like with many other preseason games, the betting odds for these games are relatively close. There are many good highlights that are worth exploring though.

Indianapolis vs. Cincinnati

The Cincinnati Bengals are -2.5 favorites over the Indianapolis Colts during this weekend's games. The Bengals and Colts have been coming off of some performances from Andy Dalton and Andrew Luck that prove that they are both ready for the season. One big question for the game comes from whether or not the Bengals will stick with Jason Campbell or A.J. McCarron as the team's backup quarterback.

St. Louis vs. Miami

With Sam Bradford being out for the coming season, the St. Louis Rams will be trying to figure out what they should be doing at quarterback in a competitive NFC West. They are +2.5 underdogs against the Miami Dolphins this weekend. The Rams will be looking to see if Shaun King is really ready for the season or if the team needs to take a look at someone else.

Philadelphia vs. New York Jets

The Philadelphia Eagles are -2.5 favorites to beat the New York Jets this weekend. The Eagles have been looking rather productive in the preseason so far and there is a chance for Mark Sanchez to get a spot on the Eagles as the team's backup quarterback. This match may prove to be rather interesting for Sanchez as he was originally expected to be the savior of the Jets offense a few years ago.

Oakland vs. Seattle

There is plenty of competition going on with the Oakland Raiders as Darren McFadden's position at running back is currently in some serious jeopardy. Maurice Jones-Drew is making a real push for the starting role for the Raiders. In addition, Matt Schaub is trying to prove that he is worthwhile as the quarterback for the Silver and Black. The team will be bearing with a very strong challenge as they are listed in the odds books as being +5 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Sports Bonus

Dallas vs. Denver

While the Denver Broncos have one of the better offenses in the NFL, the biggest concern for the team involves an extreme concern over depth in the wide receiver position. Wes Welker had another concussion this past weekend and there has not been much certainty in that position outside of Demaryius Thomas. Even with this, the Broncos are still at pick-em odds against the Dallas Cowboys this weekend. Orlando Scandrick will be trying to make himself into a third cornerback option for the Boys during the game.

Detroit vs. Buffalo

The Detroit Lions may have a real star this coming season in linebacker Tahir Whitehead. He has been performing quite well this preseason and coach Jim Caldwell has suggested that there is a very good potential that he will be in the starting lineup for the Lions at the start of the regular season. This especially comes as Kyle Van Noy is currently injured. The Lions are still listed at +4.5 against the Buffalo Bills.

Pittsburgh vs. Carolina

The Pittsburgh Steelers are -6 favorites over the Carolina Panthers but both teams will be bearing with their own particular distractions. For the Steelers, recent off-the-field troubles from running back Le'Veon Bell and his struggles on the field are hurting the team. For the Panthers, Cam Newton suffered a rib injury during the last preseason game and has not shown the same strong skills at quarterback that he exhibited throughout much of the past season. These storylines may end up spreading into this game to see whether or not these teams are really ready for the season or if they still have certain issues.

These preseason games in the NFL are the last shots that many players will have with regards to trying to make a good impression. Whether or not some of these players will make it on their teams is unclear but one thing is for certain that there is a real potential for these players to stand out in some interesting ways while plenty of good betting lines are being offered for all of these games.
