Bet on the NFLSunday afternoon football rolls on as the Detroit Lions travel to Tennessee to take on the Titans. The game is scheduled to start at 1:00 PM ET in LP Field in Nashville, and will be televised regionally on the FOX network.

The Lions are coming off a loss to the 49ers in San Francisco, 27-19. In that one, the 49ers simply dismissed the Lions, as Detroit suffered a 349-296 deficit in rushing yards. QB Matt Stafford threw a mediocre 19-of-32, for 230 yards and a touchdown. WR Calvin Johnson had a decent game, running for 94 yards on 8 catches, but went scoreless. In fact, the Lions could only manage 1 TD the entire game, and that one came in the final 1:29. They are scoring more than 26 ppg in 6 of their last 7, but also giving up 27 or more in 9 of their last 11.

The Titans are also coming off of a Week 2 loss, being routed by the Chargers 38-10 in San Diego. The Titans failed to score in the first and fourth quarters, only managing a single field goal and one touchdown throughout the game. They suffered a 416-212 deficit in offensive yards, as well as a 43:39 to 16:21 time difference in possession of the ball. QB Jake Locker had a forgettable game, throwing 15-of-30 for 174 yards and the team's only touchdown. All in all, it was a horrible game for Tennessee.

These two teams have met 3 times since 2001, with the Titans winning all three matchups. In a November 2008 game, Tennessee routed Detroit, 47-10. In that one, the Titans were favored by 11. In a January 2005 game, the Titans won 24-19, when the Lions were favored by 2 ½ points.

For this Sunday's game, the Lions are 3 point road favorites in BetRoyal's sportsbook odds for football. The over/under is set at 46 ½ points.
