Denver comes into this game after a rout of the Oakland Raiders, 37-6. They held Oakland to just two field goals in the first half, not allowing a single touchdown and shutting them out in the second half of the game. RB Willis McGahee ran for 112 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.

The Patriots are coming off of a 52-28 rout of the Buffalo Bills. Down 21-7 in the third quarter, the Pats scored 6 straight touchdowns to run away with the victory. That included a 31-point fourth quarter, and they set a franchise record with 45 total second half points. New England held a 580-438 edge in offensive yards, and forced 6 Buffalo turnovers, including 4 INTs. They also held a 247-98 edge in rushing yards. QB Tom Brady threw 22-of-36, for 340 yards, and 3 touchdowns. The Patriots are averaging 33.4 ppg in their last 16.

The Broncos are 2-2 ATS on the year so far, and 0-1 ATS as an away underdog. The Patriots are 6-1 ATS as a favorite when facing an opponent from the AFC West. They are 3-1 ATS on the season, and 0-1 ATS as a home favorite.

These two teams have met 10 times since 2001, with Denver leading the series 6-4. Their last meeting, in January 2012, resulted in a 45-10 New England victory. In that one, the Patriots were favored by 13 ½ points. Another 2011 matchup, in December, had the Pats winning 41-23, after they were favored by 7 points.
