Bet on NCAAF At the beginning of the bet college football season LSU was given little chance for success. But the Tigers have defied the experts and have clearly exceeded expectations. In the same way Georgia was touted as a bona fide national championship contender. Subsequently the Bulldogs have gone undefeated. But UGA has been an unreliable overlay on the board. Georgia has flashed the look of a team that has been reading its own headlines. It follows that the Bulldogs and Tigers could have a much closer matchup than the odds for Saturday. Ultimately, it’s a question of Georgia’s engagement.

Bulldogs vs. Tigers TV Coverage: CBS

Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia enters this Royal Bet matchup with a record of 6-0 straight up but 3-3 vs. the line.  Last week the Bulldogs covered a 41-13 home win over Vanderbilt.  And it was the third time in four games that UGA went under the total.  Certainly, Georgia is one of the most talented and balanced teams in college football.  For example, the Bulldogs rank 16th in the nation for scoring offense and second for scoring defense.

Kirby Smart

Head coach Kirby Smart continues to lift this program to an elite level in his third season.  As an illustration the Bulldogs were plagued by inconsistency before his arrival.  Previous coach Mark Richt ran a solid program that never quite reached national championship status.  Counter to that is Smart’s more dynamic style of coaching and player procurement.  Georgia has a deeper roster and plays with more of an edge.  However much of this this season the Bulldogs have shown ability but not always focus.

Important Names on the Field

Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm has an eye-popping rating of 192.5 with 12 touchdown passes and just two interceptions.  Additionally, running back Elijah Holyfield has powered to 7.4 yards per carry.

LSU Tigers

LSU has been a Bet College Football surprise with a record of 5-1 straight up and 3-3 against the spread.  Last week the Tigers suffered their first loss of the season at Florida 27-19.  Overall the Tigers offense ranks 59th in the nation for scoring offense and 16th for scoring defense.  Along the same lines LSU has shown marked improvement on offense.  While not a top ranked unit it is far more coherent than the last few seasons.  Owing to head coach Ed Orgeron’s commitment to improvement has the offense become solid.

Joe Burrow

Following this upgrade is transfer quarterback Joe Burrow.  To illuminate Burrow has a 125 rating with six touchdown passes and just two interceptions.  Running back Nick Brossette is averaging 4.9 yards per carry with eight touchdowns.  Specifically, the LSU offense now has a look of polish and organization that was lacking in the past.

Matchup to Watch

Georgia has failed to cover their last three meetings with LSU.  As a matter of fact, the Tigers are a significant Royal Bet live home dog in this one.  In this situation the Tigers have lost just one of their last seven vs. the odds as a home pup.
