This March is set to be another exciting month of games with many deciding to make it even more exhilarating by placing bets on the games. I have been busy searching the web for some valuable predictions for the 2012 tournament. I have come across the teams and players that are most likely to be the most successful in the tournament.

This is an exciting time for South Florida as it is their first NCAA in 20 years. They have only played in it twice previously in the tournaments history. California however, has received their 17th invitation this year to take part in the NCAA tournament. The teams have played eachother twice before with each taking a victory on their home ground.

South Florida have a strong defense that allows opponents to net an average of only 56.9 points per game. On the opposite end of the court they only score an average of 59.2 points per game themseleves. However, they have proved the can turn the heat up when necessary having scored 70 or more points in 6 different games this year.

California on the other hand, have an average score of 70 points per game and have only scored below 60 points on 3 occasions this season. The team also has players averaging in double figures for points scored (Cobbs 12.9 ppg, Crabbe 15.3 ppg etc) whereas South Florida have not a single player averaging double figures.

In NCAA totals betting, the Golden Bears are 12-18-1, while the Bulls have a 8-22 mark.
