Bet on NCAABOn Sunday afternoon, the Ohio State Buckeyes will attempt to finish up the Big Ten Tournament on top as they play against Penn State. Ohio State is coming off of a win against Michigan 68-61, while the Nittany Lions beat the Michigan State Spartans 61-48. There is a lot of confidence for Buckeyes fans, who are looking forward to the 2011 championship.

Sportsbook odds list Ohio State as the 10.5 point favorites tonight, with the total sitting at 126. The last time these two teams met – just twelve days ago – the Buckeyes ran away with an 82-61 win. Buckeye Jon Diebler hit nine straight three-pointers to put away the victory that day. He went 9-for-10 from three-point land after missing his first attempt.

However, Penn State is playing much better in the tournament than they did in the regular season. The have won five of the last six games, and have only dropped two of their last nine games in total. The only two losses were both to highly ranked teams: a loss to No. 1 Ohio State, and against No. 10 Wisconsin. The Nittany Lions got their revenge and beat Wisconsin on Friday.

Penn State's win against Michigan State is especially promising. The Spartans had just gotten done destroying the No. 9 Purdue Boilermakers before they were eliminated from the tournament. Penn State is playing for its first NCAA tournament appearance in ten years, and a win against Ohio State will guarantee that for the Nittany Lions.

On the other hand, Ohio State is playing to keep its No. 1 rank, as well as for the overall No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. The team is coming off of a slow start against Northwestern on Friday, and were lucky to have won that game at all. Their Saturday win against Michigan was a much stronger performance, with an 18-3 run putting the Wolverines away for good.

If the Buckeyes get off to a slow start or go cold, they may face a challenge from Penn State. In any event, expect a much closer game today than the previous 82-61 blowout win by Ohio State.
