The New York Knicks went from uncertainty in the NBA betting odds to a playoff spot this season. The Knicks changed coaches midway through the season and also dealt with injuries to Jeremy Lin and Amare Stoudemire and still reached the seventh spot in the playoffs. Stoudemire is healthy again and has been getting 17.5 points per game. Lin, who has 6.2 assists per game, is not expected to return until the conference semifinals at the earliest. This is provided that the Knicks win the series.

Carmelo Anthony has 22.6 points per game and Iman Shumpert has become a new starter for the team and will keep on starting as Stoudemire continues to come back and Lin is still out. Shumpert is close to getting two steals per game and also nearing the double digit mark for scoring in each game as his services have become more necessary in recent weeks.

The Miami Heat has the best odds to win the NBA title. They have 21/10 odds to win. The Knicks have 30/1 odds.
