Bet on the UFCUFC Fight Night 75 will be held on September 26 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The event, which is slated to air in the United States on Fox Sports 1, will be held in conjunction with Road to UFC: Japan, a reality series profiling many of the fighters who will be competing at this event. The biggest event on the card will be a major heavyweight bout between Josh Barnett and Roy Nelson.
Josh Barnett is a -240 favorite with our sportsbook to win this bout. Roy Nelson has a +190 line, thus making this bout a rather close one in terms of the betting line.
A Check On the Favorite
Josh Barnett is a highly experienced fighter who has been competing on a professional level for nearly twenty years. The Warmaster is a catch wrestling fighter with experience in standard and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He has a 33-7 record with twenty of his wins coming by submission.
However, Barnett has not fought since December 2013 when he lost in just one minute to Travis Browne in UFC 168. His last victory was in August of that same year when he knocked out Frank Mir in two minutes. Fortunately for him, half of his fights have taken place in Japan so he is familiar with traveling and training in the region.
The Big Challenger
Roy Nelson has been fighting as a professional in the MMA circuit since 2004. Big Country focuses on many styles including the wrestling, karate, Shaolin kung fu and Brazilian jiu-jitsu styles as well some parts of boxing. He has also been trained in Brazilian jiu-jitsu by Renzo Gracie, a member of the famed Gracie family of BJJ fame.
Nelson has a 20-11 career record with fourteen knockouts. He has lost his last two bouts; the last one came at UFC 185 in March when he lost in a unanimous decision against Alistair Overeem. Nelson also lost to Mark Hunt during this slump.
The two fighters are both aiming to get out and move up in the UFC heavyweight rankings. The bout is expected to be a popular one on the card.
