UFC 98 will have a mixed martial arts fight card headed by two premier light heavyweight stars that are undefeated in their careers for a fantastic headline event! The 29 year old Evans fights out of Albuquerque, New Mexico and has a career mark of 18-0-1. He enters action at UFC 98 coming off a technical knock out win over Forrest Griffin on December 27 at the 2:46 mark of the third round. Before that he scored a knock out win over Chuck Liddel on September 6 at the 1:51 mark of the second round. Evans has the reputation for UFC 98 of being best at takedowns and takedown defense.
Machida enters UFC 98 coming out of Belem, Brazil. He is 30 years old and enters this UFC 98 showdown against Evans with a record of 14-0-0. Karate is his touted strength. Machida enters UFC 98 coming off a knock out win over Thiago Silva on January 31 at the 4:49 mark of the 1st round. Prior to that he scored a unanimous decision over Tito Ortiz on May 24.
