Bet on the UFCHere's hoping this one makes it to Saturday. After the postponement of UFC 151, version 152 is scheduled to take place on Saturday night in Toronto's Air Canada Center. You can watch the action live on pay per view beginning at 10:00 PM ET.
This one will have a co-main event which was originally scheduled as the main bout of the evening prior to the demise of UFC 151. Two Americans in the Flyweight division will matchup in this one. This division's match is considered the “finals” matchup of a four-man tournament designed to crown the champion of the new Flyweight division.
The two men advancing to this finals round are Joseph Benavidez (16-2, 4 KO's) and Demetrious Johnson (15-2-1, 3 KO's). Benavidez was scheduled in this one after defeating Yasuhiro Urushitani by a TKO in the second round of his last match. Johnson won a unanimous decision versus Ian McCall. Benavidez is favored at a -$300, while Johnson is a +$220. The O/U is 4.5 rounds requiring $305 to win a $100 on the over and returning $225 on a $100 wager for the under.
The main event pits current light heavyweight champ Jon Jones (16-1, 8 KO's) from the U.S. and Vitor Belfort (21-9, 14 KO's) from Brazil, who is a former title holder. Belfort was the third choice to face Jones, after Jones refused to take on Chael Sonnen and Lyota Machida did a turnabout on Jones and wanted nothing to do with him. Jones is an "off the charts" favorite to win this one at a -$800, while Belfort is +$500. The O/U is 1.5 rounds and set at a -$120.
In a 3 round middleweight fight preceding these two events, Michael Bisping is a -$175 favorite against Brian Stann at +$145. The O/U is -$180 over 2.5 rounds and +$140 over 2.5 rounds. Stann is considered one of the tougher opponents in his division, and is coming off a win against Alessio Sakara, a UFC veteran. He may be able to get back into title contention with a win over Bisping on Saturday.
