Bet on the UFCAlthough all eyes are set on the heavyweight bouts, The UFC 146 prelims will definitely be worth a watch. The cards feature some of the most technically gifted fighters in the UFC and most of them will be out to prove a point.
Pineda vs. Mike Brown:
This will be the aged man versus the youngster kind of match. Brown is 25 to 8 while his opponent is 17 to 7, so the statistics are fairly balanced. This is expected to be a tough call. An intelligent guess would be Brown takes it via submission early on.
Ludwig vs. Hardy:
These two men will most likely want to prove a point as they both desperately need a win. This one is likely to steal the show. Hardy is the more technically gifted with a larger arsenal, and he might just steal this one.
Barboza vs. J. Varner:
Barboza enters this bout undefeated while Varner returns pm a 19 to 6 streak. The odds are highly in favor of Barboza to lift the trophy on this bout. It just might go to the judges' decision though, because both men have a technical prowess that few of their peers possess.
Sass vs. Volkmann:
Volkmann stands at 14- 2 while Sass is unbeaten since his entry into the arena. Sass may pull some tricks out of the bag, whereas Volkmann will attempt to go straight into it. This one is likely to go the full length. It will most likely be called via judges' decision.
Brandao vs Elkins:
This is another tough one to call. Brandao enters this bout on a 14 wins to 7 losses streak while Elkins stands at 13 wins to 2 losses. Brandao will be looking to knock out his opponent while Elkins will be looking to go in for a submission. Two varying techniques and it is anybody's guess which way it will swing.
