Bet on the UFCCompeting on the same weekend as the Super Bowl, UFC 126, Silva Vs. Belfort is going to be a huge event.
All the fighters are at the top of their game and are ready to fight, which was very apparent at weigh in today.
The fighting will begin Saturday night, in Las Vegas, at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The following night will be the Super Bowl, so sportsbook betting should be at an all time high.
As the football betting season comes to an end, gamblers will be looking forward to march madness betting and future UFC fighting events. But Super Bowl betting options will certainly dominate the weekend.
Silva and Belfort were separated by trainers and UFC staff today when words were exchanged and the fighters appeared to be seconds away from throwing punches. Silva seemed to offend Belfort by wearing his white mask and getting in his face.
Both fighters are in excellent shape but sportsbook odds have Belfort at +200 and Silva at -260, a big favorite over Belfort. But with these odds and the extreme focus of Belfort, I think the underdog has a distinct advantage in sportsbook betting this weekend.
Silva is the current UFC Middleweight Champion and ranked as the top MMA fighter in the world. He also has the longest winning streak in UFC history at 13 wins.
Silva and Belfort both weighed in at 185 pounds, are both in their 30's, and have both been successful fighters for the last 10+ years. This fight should be Silva's biggest challenge yet and if Belfort can win in the UFC 126, he will have UFC titles in two weight classes, Middleweight and Light Heavyweight.
Both fighters are Brazilian and have very successful UFC careers.
Again, the UFC 126 event will be held in Las Vegas, at the Mandalay Bay Resort Casino, starting at 7PM EST. The live event is sold out, but you can still watch it live on TV or the internet.
