NFL preseason can be tricky as its not simply a matter of who the better sports betting commodity is but, more importantly, what their motivation is. NFL preseason handicapping in the NFC for this summer will offer plenty of sports betting angles that can lead to profit if played the right way.
The Dallas Cowboys will enter the NFL preseason with a new stadium and a lot of work to do after their collapse at the end of the 2008 sports betting season. The Cowboys will want to set a positive tone for this upcoming NFL betting campaign and could be a classic case of what is known in horse racing as a beaten favorite. If Dallas stumbles during NFL preseason action things will likely become very volatile at Valley Ranch.
The Green Bay Packers are another team that left 2008 with a bad taste in their mouth and will want to use the NFL preseason to regain the form of their stellar 2007 season. Patience will be running thin in Green Bay after their fans gave them a pass last year during the transition from the Brett Favre era. The Packers will not want additional negativity for this upcoming NFL preseason.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have a new coach and new quarterback to break in which can cut both ways in the NFL preseason. While they will be getting acclimated to a new system they will also try and set a positive tone for the NFL preseason as negativity can easily grow from a bad exhibition slate on a team such as this that has been an established contender in the past.
The New York Giants also had a bad fall at the end of last year and while a strong NFL preseason would not necessarily be a certainty it is safe to assume that they would also not want to feed the New York media any reason to create bad vibes or trouble.
The Philadelphia Eagles are a veteran team that would seem to have little if any motivation for a strong preseason. They will simply want to escape the exhibition slate unscathed and healthy for when it counts. BetRoyal.com is your home for the upcoming NFL exhibition campaign.
Bet on the MLBGamblers might feel compelled to place their baseball bets on San Francisco. Rival evaluators who scouted the Giants’ offensive work during spring training all left thinking the same thing; pitchers from opposing teams will have to dig deep. Similar to the Kansas City Royals of the previous two years, the Giants are not known for striking out too often.
