Baseball odds will feature a Friday sports betting online matchup from the American League East as the Yankees and Orioles hook up from Baltimore. Baseball odds have not treated either team or their sports betting online backers well thus far but Baltimore's start has been truly alarming.
The probable starters posted on the baseball odds are scheduled to be left hander CC Sabathia of the Yankees and right hander Jeremy Guthrie of the Orioles. Sabathia was the headliner acquisition of the off season for the Yankees as they signed him to a monster contract after he carried the Milwaukee Brewers on his back last year and into the playoffs for the first time since 1982.
Sabathia has not had a particularly great start this sports betting online season. Sabathia has 5 starts against the baseball odds and a record of 1-2 with a 4.73 earned run average. He is 5-1 lifetime against the Orioles with a 3.01 earned run average. Guthrie has 5 starts this year against the baseball odds and has been even worse than Sabathia, although somewhat luckier. Guthrie is 2-1 but has a 5.20 earned run average. He is 3-2 lifetime against the baseball odds versus the Yankees with a 4.40 earned run average.
The Yankees were 13-12 against the baseball odds in their first 25 games but were -$380 against the line. This is because with their enormous expectations and popularity the Yankees are one of the most expensive teams on the board and a loss on them takes several wins to make up for. New York has had no problem on offense as they ranked 3rd in the majors but their pitching staff was a horrible 30th in baseball.
After getting off to a surprisingly good start against the baseball odds, the Baltimore Orioles stumbled and fell flat on their faces. From April 15 through May 4 the Orioles were gushing red ink with a mark of 4-14 against the baseball odds. The Orioles are similar to the Yankees in that they have a good offense and horrible pitching. Baltimore's pitching staff, in fact, is just one notch ahead of the Yankees as they ranked 29th in the majors for earned run average.

Bet on the MLBGamblers might feel compelled to place their baseball bets on San Francisco. Rival evaluators who scouted the Giants’ offensive work during spring training all left thinking the same thing; pitchers from opposing teams will have to dig deep. Similar to the Kansas City Royals of the previous two years, the Giants are not known for striking out too often.
