Play now!The World Series of Poker Europe has announced their schedule for 2011 with seven feature events during the tournament that will run from October 7th through October 20th.

The Casino Barriere de Cannes Croisette and the Hotel Majestic Barriere in Cannes, France will host the events for the World Series of Poker Europe.

7 Bracelet Events
This year’s World Series of Poker Europe will have seven bracelet events which is the most they have ever had. The action gets underway on Friday, October 7th with a three-day, six-handed No-Limit Holdem tournament. The seven bracelet events will be focused on No-Limit Holdem but there will also be a Pot-Limit Omaha tournament, a six-handed Pot Limit Omaha tourney and a really different split-format event that they are calling All-Around No-Limit Holdem. That event is going to be wild with full No-Limit Holdem on the first day, six-handed play on the second day and then Heads-Up on the third day and through the final table. In addition to the 7 bracelet events there will also be satellites, other events and the popular cash games. One of the other events will be a Ladies Event but there will be no bracelet awarded for that tournament.

Last year it was James Bord who won the main event of the World Series of Poker Europe. The tournament was held in London and while it did generate some interest, there were only five big events last year in the WSOP Europe. This year’s tournament will be larger and the interest level should be higher than ever with the tournament being held in France. This year’s main event for the World Series of Poker Europe gets underway on October 15th and runs until October 20th. There were a total of 346 players in last year’s main event field with the top prize of 830,401 pounds.
