Play now! When the entry fee is $100,000 you wouldn’t think a lot of players would show up to play but the Super High Roller event at the Bellagio attracted 29 players making for a prize pool of $2.9 million dollars.

The players that put up the huge entry fee were a who’s who of poker experts. When it got down to the final couple of players there were two poker pros battling for the title.

Seidel vs. Lindgren
Two top poker pros were battling for the title on Friday with Erik Seidel going up against Erick Lindgren. The event should have ended on Thursday night but tournament directors gave the two players the option of coming back and finishing on Friday and they took that opportunity. Seidel had a solid lead over Lindgren and was favored to win the title. Seidel was a short stack for quite a while but he has had such an unbelievable year that even a short stack can’t stop him. Seidel has already won $4.3 million this year and he is going to win at least another 700,000. He is going so well that he will likely get the $1 million dollar plus payout for first place. Lindgren will probably have to settle for the $700,000 for second place. Daniel Negreanu finished in third and took home $448,320. Vivek Rajkumar finished in fourth place and got $336,240 while the only other player to get paid was Justin Bonomo who finished in fifth place, good for $224,160.

WPT Championship
The $25,000 WPT Championship was the main draw in Las Vegas but the high roller event definitely attracted more people than was expected. The WPT Championship was led by Galen Hall going into the final table on Friday. The final table of the WPT Championship will be televised on FSN. Hall has had a great year as he won the PCA Main Event in January for $2.3 million. He will have to beat out a talented final table including Scott Seiver who is almost even with him in chips at just over $5 million. Also at the final table will be Justin Young, Tony Gargano, Roger Teska and Freddy Bonyadi. The winner of the WPT Championship will take home $1.6 million dollars.
