Bet on the NFL Even charity poker games aren't safe these days, as two armed gunman are caught on tape holding up a game in Muskegon County.
Thursday at the Tilt Room room inside Bob Hi Lanes Bowling Alley in Norton Shores, at approximately 1AM video cameras recorded the robbery. Rudicil says it was a full house as roughly 35 people took part in a charity poker game for the American Red Cross. Luckily Bob Hi lanes is equipped with surveilance cameras which caught the two men as they came in one was armed, and made an attempt to take off with as much cash as possible.
A witness says the first guy came in and the second guy reamained at he door flashing his weapon. The other guy just casually walked around to the cash door which he was in front of and he pointed at the door and hinted to open the door.
The robbers became aggrivated with a lack of cooperation and so the one armed with a gun came over and hit worker Dan Boes in the head with the pistol. Boes said that by the time he realized what was going on was about the time he got hit in the head and ran right over to the bar to have them call 911. At that point he was just wondering what is going on, why is it was happening, who is doing it. There were poker players and other people heading for the door pretty much as soon as he got hit. There were people heading for the door and running outside and taking off, and there were people diving under poker tables.
The witness, named Rudicil, wasn't lucky enough to get away. In the video you can see one of the robbers going after Rudicil and the other heading for the cash door. They attacked Rudicil looking for the key to the cash door and demanding for him to open it. Rudicil was in such shock he didn't even hear the gunshots go off. life.
Unfortunately, the robbers got off with a sizeable amount of money, robbing from the Red Cross! Anyone with information about this crime to call the Norton Shores Police Department or Silent Observer.
