NHL hockey lines have been high on San Jose all season and the visiting Sharks have been a poor NHL wagering value despite a great record. It wasn’t all that long ago that the Anaheim Ducks were struggling mightily against the NHL hockey lines and were as good as done as far as making the NHL wagering post season.
But Anaheim since recovered and climbed back into the western conference race. In fact, Anaheim has been one of the hottest teams in the league against the NHL hockey lines as of late. From March 18 through March 29 the Ducks beat the NHL hockey lines in 6 out of 7 games.
Anaheim had an overall record of 38-32-4-2 straight up and 36-39 against the NHL hockey lines. Anaheim was ranked 16th overall on offense while ranking 17th overall on defense. Anaheim is not without all star talent. Ryan Getzlaf is a strong asset against the NHL hockey lines as he led the Ducks in scoring with 81 points.
Goaltenders Jean Sebastien Giguere and Jonas Hiller have both made contributions for Anaheim against the NHL hockey lines. The San Jose Sharks have been one of the elite teams this NHL wagering season and led the western conference race for much of the way before fading behind the defending Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings.
San Jose has been an expensive commodity as a result against the NHL hockey lines. The Sharks had an overall record of 50-15-6-5 straight up and 31-45 against the NHL hockey lines.
The big problem in taking the Sharks against the NHL hockey lines is that they are consistently among the heaviest favorites on the board and a loss on them can be incredibly expensive and take many wins to make up for. Joe Thornton has had a great season for the Sharks as he had 82 points to lead the team in scoring.
