Bet on hockey fans have been impressed with the Ducks improvement while Detroit has been one of the hottest teams in NHL wagering. The Anaheim Ducks got off to a sluggish start to the bet on hockey season and it even appeared that they might fall out of NHL wagering post season contention but the Ducks have picked up the pace as of late and were in a solid position for the post season as a result.
From January 31 through February 11 Anaheim got the cash in four out of six games with four of those games also going under the total. The Ducks have been a solid bet on hockey team for defense as they ranked 11th overall in the league while their offense was lacking and ranked just 19th.
Anaheim is not without bet on hockey all stars who can help as proven by Ryan Getzlaf who led the team in scoring with 18 goals and a whopping 45 assists to lead the team in points with 63.
All star goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere and his partner Jonas Hiller have combined for save percentages well above .905 and goals against averages below 3.00. Hiller has become a bet on hockey asset in his own right and was threatening to take over as the Ducks number one net minder due to his outstanding play.
The most popular team that the public likes to bet on hockey with is the Detroit Red Wings. The result is that their NHL wagering value is the worst of any team. Despite an overall bet on hockey record of 37-12-6-1 straight up the Wings were a shocking 20-36 against the odds.
This is because Detroit is always such a heavy bet on hockey favorite that just one loss can be a set back that takes a long time to recover from.
Coach Mike Babcock used to coach the Ducks and will want to show well against his old team, making for a nice bet on hockey intangible. Detroit got a 4-3 bet on hockey payoff at Anaheim in their last meeting January 14.
