Bet on the NFLOn Sunday afternoon, the Tennessee Titans travel to Buffalo to take on the Bills. The game in Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo, NY, is scheduled to kick off at 1:00 PM ET, with all of the action to be televised regionally on CBS.
The Titans come into this game off of an upset over the Pittsburgh Steelers, 26-23. Down 23-16 in the fourth quarter, the Titans scored a touchdown with 4:19 to go, and then kicked in a field goal as time expired to take the victory. This was the first time all season that Tennessee held an opponent to fewer than 30 points. QB Matt Hasselbeck threw 25-of-44, for 290 yards, and a touchdown, but also threw 1 interception. In their first three road games of the year, the Titans are giving up 35.3 ppg. They are also -53 points against the spread in those three games.
The Bills handed the Cardinals their second consecutive loss, winning in Arizona 19-16. They needed until overtime to get it done, but a field goal in the extra period put the Bills on top for good. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick threw 18-of-32, for 153 yards, and no touchdowns, but threw an interception. In three games this year, the Bills have given up 48 ppg. In the other three games of the season, they have given up just 16 ppg. Leading up to their game against the Cardinals, the Bills had suffered a 90-10 deficit in points over the last 6 quarters of play.
The Titans are 2-8 ATS recently. Head Coach Mike Munchak is 0-5 ATS coming off of an upset victory. Tennesee is 2-4 ATS on the season, and 0-3 ATS as the away underdog. The Bills are 8-0 ATS as a home favorite and playing an opponent with a losing record. They are 3-3 ATS on the year, and 1-0 ATS when favored at home.
These two teams have met four times since 2001, with the Titans winning every single one of those. Their last matchup, in December 2011, resulted in a 23-17 Titans victory. In that one, Tennessee was a 1 point favorite. In a November 2009 matchup, the Titans won 41-17, after they were favored by 9 points.
