Bet on the NFL When betting on football it’s important to consider the injuries. An injured player can effect the spread by an entire point or two, depending on their skill, and the team, of course, so before placing your bets as we head into the playoff season, take a look at the list of injured.
The New England Patriots play the Buffalo Bills this weekend, and although this game’s outcome isn’t to hard to guess, the Pats are looking solid for the Super Bowl and any injuries in Week 16 could definitely have an effect in 2011. Sportsbook list the following Pats that did not participate in practice: Tom Brady, still out with a right shoulder injury, Dan Connolly who has a conussion, linebacker Tully Banta-Cain, defensive end Brandon Deaderick, defensive end Mike Wright, defensive end Myron Pryor, tight end Aaron Hernandez, wide receiver Deion Branch, and center back Kyle Arrington.
Now for one of the other Super Bowl potentials, the Philadelphia Eagles. They play the Vikings this weekend in a game that they are expected to win, so let’s look at who did not practice this week.
Center back Jorrick Calvin, line backers keenan Clayton, running back Jerome Harrison, and Mike Patterson. Line backer Stewart Bradley is out and will definitely not be playing this Christmas weekend. The Indianapolis Colts play the Raiders this weekend and have not had the following players in practice this week: center back Al Afalava, defensive end Dwight Freeney, line backer Tyjuan Hagler, center back Kelvin Hayden, Charlie Johnson, and Daniel Muir. The New Orleans Saints are also looking strong heading into the playoffs and have no injuries to report this week! And neither do their weekend rivals, the Atlanta Falcons!
The Chicago Bears take on the Jets this weekend and have only one player out this week in practice, wide receiver Earl Bennett. The Jets on the other hand practiced without Santonio Holmes, james Ihedigbo, Tony Richardson, Eric Smith, LaDainian Tomlinson and Damien Woody. Then there’s the Baltimore Ravens who did not have the following athletes in practice this week: Tony moll, line backer Jason Phillips, wide receiver David Reed, and Tom Zbikowski.
