The Bills became the latest victim of the nearly-perfect Houston Texans, losing on the road 21-9. Buffalo suffered deficits in first downs at 21-17, total yards at 374-308, and rushing yards at 118-78. While the stats game was close, the Bills could not get anything going on offense. The Texans held onto the ball for 9 more minutes and forced 1 turnover on a lost fumble. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick threw 25-of-38, for 239 yards. The Bills are now -144 ½ points spreadwise over their previous 18 games.

The Patriots had Week 9 off, but are coming off of a rout of the St. Louis Rams, 45-7. The game was over by halftime, with the Pats up 28-7. The Patriots scored touchdowns on their first 5 possessions. New England held edges in first downs at 29-17, total yards at 473-326, and passing yards at 321-219. They sacked the Rams twice, and forced two turnovers, both on interceptions. QB Tom Brady threw 23-of-35, for 304 yards, and 4 touchdowns. Over their last 5 games, New England holds are 868-466 edge in rushing yards.
