Bet on the NFLThe Pittsburgh Steelers won the AFC North title with a 11-5 record while the Baltimore Ravens finished in third in that division with a 10-6 record. Both teams were good enough to reach the playoffs and will be playing Saturday at Heinz Field in the first round. The Steelers are -3 favorites for the game that will be held at 8:15pm local time and will be broadcast on NBC.
The games between these two teams ended with mixed results. The Ravens won their home game on September 11 by a score of 26-6 while the Steelers won their home game on November 2 with a 43-23 score. Also, while the Ravens have won three of their last four games, the Steelers are riding a four-game winning streak that includes two victories against Cincinnati.
The biggest issue for the Steelers comes from the status of running back Le'Veon Bell. He suffered a knee injury in last week's game. While no signs of any ligament damage were found, he is still listed as questionable. Bell had 1,361 rushing yards for the Steelers this year. Cornerback Ike Taylor and safety Troy Polamalu are both day to day with their injuries. They both missed their last games.
Ben Roethlisberger tied with New Orleans' Drew Brees for the most passing yards in the NFL this year with 4,952 yards. Antonio Brown had the most receiving yards with 1,698 yards. He is also by far the leading receiver with 129 catches. This pairs with a rush defense that is only giving up about a hundred yards per game.
The Ravens also have a strong rush defense as they are giving up 88 yards per game. In addition, Elvis Dumervil has seventeen sacks while Terrell Suggs has twelve. Defense tackle Haloti Ngata has also come back for the Ravens following a brief suspension.
While the Steelers have a strong passing game, it is the rushing game that has given the Ravens an advantage this year. Justin Forsett has 1,266 rushing yards this season.
