Week 13 features the reigning Super Bowl champs, who are currently just shy of the top spot in the NFC South, the New Orleans Saints, with a 8-3-0 record. They hit the road for Cincinnati to take on the bottom of the AFC North, the Bengals, who currently hold a disappointing 2-9-0 record.
The New Orleans Saints received a gift from the Dallas Cowboys in their Thanksgiving Day game in Dallas and now they get to take on a Cincinnati Bengals team that may not win another game this season.
The Cincinnati Bengals were beaten down by the New York Jets in their Thanksgiving Day game and they needed the ten days of rest coming into this game. Carson Palmer and his talented receivers must get out of the box early in this game if they expect to have any chance against the New Orleans Saints.
Drew Brees is still among the elite NFL quarterbacks but his season with the Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints has not been his best. Defense has been the best unit on this Cincinnati Bengals team and they have done so quietly. Gone is Pac Man Jones in the secondary but a group of young secondary backs have taken over to keep games close for a disappointing Cincinnati Bengals offense.
The Bengals are only allowing 220 yards per game through the air and they are slightly vulnerable on the ground, allowing 118 yards per game on the ground. The New Orleans Saints offense has a definite edge over the Cincinnati Bengals defense.
Carson Palmer and the Cincinnati Bengals offense is full of fire power. There is the ageless Terrell Owens and Chad Ocho Cinco as the wide outs and Jordon Shipley and Jermaine Gresham as the over the middle catch and carry receivers. Out of the back field Cedric Benson and the Cincinnati Bengals running game have not averaged over 100 yards per game this season.
The Saints are the 7 point favorites with the total over under listed in Sportsbook at 47.
