Bet on the NFL With both teams struggling this year, the game between the Jaguars and the Colts looks to be quite evenly matched.
The Colts have been depressing this year, losing all of their nine matches to date. After losing 6 and winning 2, the Jacksonville jaguars haven't been much greater.
If there's one team, however, that the Jaguars can be self-confident of defeating, then it has to be the Indianapolis Colts. Both at home and on the road, the Colts have been a huge letdown to their fans. Coach Jim Caldwell has leapt to the defense of his team, claiming that they are trying their best and putting up a solid fight. That, however, doesn't seem to wash with owner Jim Irsay who has overtly defined the squad's performance as unacceptable. With Peyton Manning still expected to be out until the end of the season, there does not seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel for Colts fans.
If there was ever a time to turn things around though for the Colts, it's against the Jacksonville Jaguars at home who have been almost just as as bad to date this year. Rookie Blaine Gabbert looks out of his depth and has struggled to find any sort of form this year. There has been some criticism of the unfairness of throwing such a young man in at the deep end but other rookies have competed well. It really might be make or break time for his career.
Even though the Jacksonville Jaguars have lost their last competition, they did win in a hard fought win over the Ravens in the prior game and appear to be faves heading into this one. As they are presented with the best chance they are going to get to turn things around, the Colts will be desperate to turn home advantage into a victory. There's not a great deal to get thrilled about in writing but this clash could just be a fascinating game as both squads try to turn things around.
