Bet on the NFLNFL football odds will be set for one of the greatest traditional rivalries in all of football betting as the Oakland Raiders host the Kansas City Chiefs. NFL football odds fans recall the glory days when these two teams were the top football betting commodities on the board but now they are among the worst teams in football.

The Kansas City Chiefs have a NFL football odds record of 1-7 straight up and 3-5 against the spread.  The Chiefs have been a decent football betting value as of late, however, as they have gotten the cash in  3 out of their last 4 online betting matchups. Last week Kansas City lost at Jacksonville 21-24 but covered the NFL football odds as 7-point road dogs.  The Chiefs rank 30th with the NFL football odds on both offense and defense.

The Oakland Raiders have a record of 2-6 straight up and 4-4 with the NFL football odds.  The Raiders are coming off a 17-24 loss at San Diego on November 1 as 16-point dogs with the NFL football odds.  The Raiders rank dead last with the NFL football odds on offense while ranking 26th in the league for defense.

The Chiefs and Raiders previously met on September 20 at KC as the Raiders scored a 13-10 win as 1-point dogs with the NFL football odds. The Chiefs made news Monday when they cut running back Larry Johnson, who had numerous off the field problems with KC ever since his arrival in 2003.

The Raiders have had all kinds of off the field problems revolving around head coach Tom Cable and his allegedly violent past.  Cable was rumored to have broken the jaw of assistant coach Randy Hanson this past summer camp.  While no charges were brought it did cause some women of Cable’s past to step forward and allege that he abused them both verbally and physically.  This has caused increasing public pressure for Cable to be suspended or even fired.  Cable is not pleased with the situation or his offense.

“I just feel like there have been obvious issues that are out of our control,” said Cable.  “I’m not an excuse guy, but I think not having enough quality people on offense has really hindered us.” Kansas City has covered their last 5 consecutive trips to Oakland and the two teams have gone under the total in 6 out of their last 7 matchups at “the Black Hole.”
