Bet on the NFLLooking only at results it would be no wonder that the Dallas Cowboys are football betting favorites clashing with the San Diego Chargers this Sunday 29. However, they are only one point favorites. Sure, the Cowboys have a better win-loss record (2-1) than the Chargers (1-2) but one of those victories was against the New York Giants, the league’s worst defense. The other win was against the St Louis Rams, who have lost two games in a row and may be handed their third by the San Francisco 49ers. On the other hand, their one defeat was versus the red-hot Kansas City Chiefs, so maybe we shouldn’t hold that against them.
However, we shouldn’t take the Cowboys’ individual achievements lightly either. Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, and DeMarco Murray have all been on fire this season, whether the team wins or loses. As it turns out, Dallas offense may have left a bit to be desired for football betting analysts, but they have all the potential to improve, especially with a defense-lacking team like the Chargers, who are only surpassed in yards allowed by the Washington Redskins. Offensively, San Diego is faring a little bit better, thanks to a Philip Rivers who seems to be catching his second wind.
That’s part of the problem though. The Chargers have been filled with very promising players in the past few seasons, but they either have left, or failed to live up to their potential. Of course, you may actually blame the coach instead of the players. That’s exactly what San Diego management did, axing Norv Turner, and hiring new head coach Mike McCoy. Rivers has thrown less interceptions (only one this season) since McCoy has been in charged, and has upped his overall game. Additionally, Rivers is surrounded by capable teammates such as Eddie Royal, Vincent Brown (who has been replacing injured Malcom Floyd), and Antonio Gates, who has been experiencing a renaissance of sorts as well. All of this may not be enough to stop Dallas though, so the Chargers will need to really step up their game to please their football betting fans.
