Bet on the NFL The Cowboys gear up to take on the Giants this Sunday in Week 10 of the 2010 NFL season. There is more than usual riding on this game, as Coach Phillips is out and Jason Garrett has taken his place.
Garrett will have to prove he was the worthy replacement in his first game as Cowboys head coach. Cowboys General Manager, Jerry Jones fired Phillips on Monday and promoted offensive coordinator Jason Garrett and Defensive line coach Paul Pasqualoni was promoted to replace Phillips' other role as defensive coordinator. The final straw came when Jones decided enough was enough following a 45-7 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night. It was the Cowboys' fifth straight loss and the third straight that wasn't even close. This is the first time Dallas has made an in-season coaching change. However, when betting on sports consider this: 44-year-old Garrett has never been a head coach on any level. But he does appear to be eager, and more than ready.
As of now, the Cowboys offense are running aimless routes, doing their best to get to the QB before he gets sacked this includes Dez Bryant, Roy Williams and Miles Austin along with Jason Witten were expected to tear up opposing defenses. But Jon Kitna, 38 years old and not very mobile, holds the keys to what should be one of the most highly explosive offenses in the NFL. As for the running game, there is no running game as Felix Jones and Marion Barber have not rushed for a combined 100 yards in three games. When betting on sports take note: the New York Giants defense has the edge over the Dallas Cowboys offense.
According to Sportsbook the Giants are the 10 point home favorites for this weekend’s matchup.
Eli Manning and the New York Giants offense are on their way to a comeback. They are now averaging over 140 yards on the ground with their running game and Ahmad Bradshaw is pounding the ball with help from Brandon Jacobs. The Dallas Cowboys defense has quit the last three weeks. After the first half of the game the New York Giants preparation and pounding running game should wear down the Dallas Cowboys defense. The New York Giants offense has the edge over the Dallas Cowboys defense.
