Bet on the NFLThe New England Patriots have won their last four games against the Indianapolis Colts. This dates back to 2010 and includes a playoff game earlier this calendar year. With the Patriots at 7-2 and Colts at 6-3 so far this year, there is a potential they could meet in the playoffs again this season. Until then, they will be facing one another on Sunday night at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. This game may especially play a role in who could get a first round bye in the playoffs.
The Colts had a five-game winning streak this season but it was snapped by Pittsburgh not long ago; the Colts resumed their winning ways this past Monday with a 40-24 win over the New York Giants. Andrew Luck currently holds the lead for the most passing yards per game this year. He has thrown for 337 passing yards per game on average this year.
This includes 26 touchdowns versus nine interceptions. In addition. T.Y. Hilton has 937 receiving yards while he and three other Colts have at least three touchdowns from a receiving end this year. Even with this, the Colts have given up more than 260 passing yards per game so far this season, thus making for one of the worst totals in the league so far.
The Patriots are on a five-game winning streak with their latest win coming in a 43-21 victory over Denver this past week. While wide receiver Brandon LaFell is questionable for this game, the Pats still have a number of receiving options of use to them for the game.
Rob Gronkowski has contributed to eight of Tom Brady's 22 passing touchdowns this year. In addition, the Patriots have a total of ten interceptions this year while Chandler Jones has 4.5 sacks this season.
The Colts are very narrow favorites to win this game at home. The Colts are -2.5 favorites to beat the Patriots while the over/under suggests that this is going to be a rather high-scoring game. The over/under in particular is listed at 55 points to be scored during the entire game.
