Bet on the NFLThe San Diego Chargers are 9-6 and are competing with Baltimore for the final wild card spot in the AFC. The Chargers will need to get a win in order to clinch the final spot. They will have a challenge though as they will be traveling to Kansas City to take on the 8-7 Chiefs. This is the same Chiefs team that the Chargers lost to 23-20 in October.

The big thing that the Chargers have going for themselves at this moment is the production of quarterback Philip Rivers. There have been concerns about him having a bulging disc in his back and the potential that it could become herniated. However, Rivers is still going strong for the Bolts as he is very close to passing the 4,000-yard mark for passing this season.

Rivers also has four different receivers with more than 600 receiving yards this season. Antonio Gates has twelve receiving touchdowns while Eddie Royal has seven. Even with this, the Chargers only have about 84 rushing yards per game this year with Branden Oliver only going a few yards past the 500-yard mark.

The competition that the Chargers will be facing is expected to be tough. However, the Chiefs have lost four of their last five games and are hoping to try and find a way to finish the season on a strong note.

The biggest concern that the Chiefs had this year is that while they have a strong pass defense, the pass offense leaves quite a bit to be desired. Although Alex Smith has eighteen touchdowns versus just six interceptions, he has been sacked 45 times this year. Even with that, the Chiefs are still limiting their opponents to about 200 passing yards per game while Justin Houston has eighteen sacks.

The Chiefs are -3 favorites at home but the Chargers have the most to get out of the game. If the Chargers win this game then they will be in the playoffs with no questions asked.
