Bet on the NFLThe Arizona Cardinals leave the hot desert sand behind as they venture into the hills of Tennessee for a preseason matchup versus the Titans. Gametime is 8:00ET in Nashville's LP Field and this Music City matchup can be seen nationally on ESPN.
Arizona (1-2) beat Oakland 27-17 last Friday. John Skelton will start at QB and should play most of the first half. Skelton should have RB Beanie Wells back in the lineup to hand off to and TE Jeff King to throw to, both coming back from sitting out last week. Wells should share the carries with Ryan Williams. LT Levi Brown may have been lost for the year Friday with a torn tricep.
Tennessee (1-1) has already named Jake Locker as their starting QB for the regular season. This, in spite of an unimpressive performance by him in the Titans 30-7 trouncing of Tampa last week. In that one, the Titans scored in every quarter, shutting out the Bucs in the last three quarters. Locker will not have top WR Kenny Britt to throw to, as he remains out.
The Titans are 3-2 against the Cardinals in all of their preseason games. The last time the two met during the regular season in 2009, the Titans came out on top 20-17, winning at home. They have split the difference in their only two regular season meetings since 2001.
The Cardinals are 1-2 SU this year, and 0-2 SU on the road. The are 0-3 ATS overall, and 0-2 ATS in road games. The Titans are 1-1 SU, and this will be their first home game of the year. They are 1-1 ATS.
Tennessee is a 3 point home favorite at a -$110. This is the first game with the Titans as the favorite. Arizona is 0-2 ATS as the underdog this preseason. The moneyline is also -$110 on the under/over of 42.5 total points.
