Bet on the NFL The Dolphins host the Cleveland Browns this weekend in Week 13 of the 2010 NFL season. Coming off a very close win vs. the Panthers in Week 12, the Browns are 3rd in the AFC North with a 4-7-0 record. The Dolphins are also 3rd in their division, the AFC East, with a 6-5-0 record. They are coming off a big win against the Raiders last weekend. Chad Henne made his mark in his return to the Miami Dolphins against the Oakland Raiders. Going into the game his number one receiver Brandon Marshall was a scratch and he was not left with much to work with except some anxious running backs looking to break out and run wild. The question will have to be answered in this game against the Cleveland Browns if the performance in Oakland was an aberration or the real Miami Dolphins.
The Dolphins are the 4.5 point favorites with the total over under listed in sportsbook at 42.5.
Defensively, the Cleveland Browns are average against the run, allowing 116 yards per game and they are below average against the pass, allowing 243 yards per game. The secondary of the Cleveland Browns is young and mistake prone but they are good up front. The defense is a work in progress but there is potential to build on for next year. With Mike Holmgren in the front office there will be several moves made to tighten up this secondary. The Miami Dolphins offense has a slight edge over the Cleveland Browns defense.
Jake Delhomme, the Cleveland Browns starting quarterback is something of an anti-quarterback. He produces positive yards for the opposing defenses. No matter how many yards Peyton Hillis can knock out every game it will be an uphill battle to keep Delhomme from erasing the positive yardage every time he throws. Joshua Cribbs is another player that needs to be more involved in this offense in key situations. Cribbs brings an energy to this team that is lacking when he is not on the field.
