Bet on the NFLBattle of the NFC West this weekend as the Oakland Raiders host the Denver Broncos in NFL betting Week 15. The Broncos are currently third in the AFC West with a (6-7-0) record, while the Raiders are sitting in last place with a (3-10-0) record. The Oakland Raiders dismantled the Denver Broncos in the first meeting, 59-14. The rematch will be without Josh McDaniels, and the Raiders are looking for a .500 season, even 9-7. Will the Broncos make it competitive this time around?
Kyle Orton has been disastrous over the past two weeks, and it's a nightmare for the fantasy football players heading into the playoffs. Orton has been 28/69 for 283 yards and three interceptions in his past two outings, failing to register a fifty QB rating in either game. This was after leading the Broncos to an NFL offense that was top five in yardage.
It is worth keeping an eye out for a potential Tim Tebow sighting, but I doubt Studesville cares about the future when he's trying to secure a job. The Raiders dominated the Broncos in their initial match-up, 59-14 (FWIW, it was 59-14 in the third quarter, also). The Raiders more than doubled the yards on Denver and had nearly forty minutes of possession. Other than penalties, they essentially dominated every statistic.
Sportsbook lists the Raiders as the 6.5 point favorites with the total over under at 44.5.
The Raiders and Broncos game is a divisional rivalry. These games are often unpredictable as both teams have familiarity with one another. The Raiders have demonstrated this twice as huge underdogs to the San Diego Chargers this season.
Studesville's Broncos played like they were from dudsville after a 43-13 shellalcking to the Arizona Cardinals. They suffered six turnovers and Kyle Orton had one of his worst games. Demaryius Thomas, Darcel McBath, and Brian Dawkins are three of the five Broncos who are questionable as of 12/13. The Raiders have one of the NFL's shortest injury lists as Rolando McClain is the only significant Raiders on the list as questionable on 12/13.
