Bet on the NFLThe NFL's scheduling system makes it so the first place teams in each division in a conference play each other while the second place teams play each other and so forth. The immense success of Tom Brady with the New England Patriots and Peyton Manning first with the Indianapolis Colts and now with the Denver Broncos has made it so they have played each other fifteen times in the past. Brady and the Patriots have won ten games against whoever Manning has played with.
This rivalry will come on for the sixteenth time this Sunday as Manning's Broncos will travel to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough to take on the Patriots. This is going to have some high stakes considering how well the two teams have played so far this season.
The 6-2 Patriots have a one-game lead for the AFC East. They have won four games in a row with their last being a 51-23 win over Chicago this past weekend. The Pats have a strong defense this year with 21 sacks and eight interceptions plus eight fumble recoveries. Also, Tom Brady has eighteen touchdowns this year versus two interceptions while getting 2,059 passing yards.
The 6-1 Broncos have the best record in the entire AFC. They are also on a four-game winning stream with their last coming from a 35-21 win over San Diego. Peyton Manning has 2,134 passing yards with 22 touchdowns versus three interceptions.
The Broncos also have the best rush defense in the NFL. They have given up 72 rushing yards per game this year. Von Miller also has nine sacks while DeMarcus Ware has seven of the 23 that the entire team has so far this year.
The Patriots are listed at +3 for the game, according to BetRoyal Sportsbook. This is expected to be a high-scoring match with the over/under listed at 55 points. It is certainly planning to be a tight match in an ongoing rivalry that may continue well into either next season or possibly the playoffs depending on how these two compete.
