Bet on the NFL Battle of the NFC North this Sunday as the first place Bears have a 9-4-0 record and the third place Vikings have a 5-8-0 record. The Minnesota Vikings will be traveling to Chicago for this matchup. The Chicago Bears will travel December 20th to take on the Minnesota Vikings and their new coach Leslie Frasier. The venue has not been decided for this game and an outdoor game may just favor the Minnesota Vikings believe it or not. There have been discussions of hosting this game at the University of Minnesota's outdoor facility. The Metrodome collapsed early Sunday morning, see Fox Sports video. The Chicago Bears played one of their worst games under frigid snowy conditions against the New England Patriots last weekend.
The Chicago Bears defense has been among the top defenses all season and they were taken apart by Tom Brady. Brady carved up a defense that rarely gives up the big play and has contained some of the best NFL quarterbacks this year. The Chicago Bears have given up just 80 yards per game on the ground and now they take on Adrian Peterson.
When betting on football remember that Peterson was a non factor in the loss to the Chicago Bears earlier this season.
The Minnesota Vikings will be led by Tavaris Jackson and Jackson is not in the same class as Tom Brady. Jackson will be forced to think fast in this game and Adrian Peterson will be hard pressed to get anything going early in this game.
Sidney Rice is explosive and a welcome return to the Minnesota Vikings line up but Jackson will have to find a way to get him the ball. Percy Harvin has been a problem all season with his migraine headaches and it is up in the air if will be available for this game. The Chicago Bears defense has the edge over the Minnesota Vikings offense.
Jay Cutler was on his heels all game against the New England Patriots last weekend. The Minnesota Vikings front line will force Jay Cutler into mistakes early in this game. It will be a test of Cutler's maturity in this game if he can pull it together and take his team to victory. This game will prove to the rest of the NFL whether or not the Chicago Bears belong in the NFL Playoffs.
