Bet on the NFL Who will take home the title this season? The 2010 NFL Most Valued Player award. Rumor has it that we are looking at either Michael Vick or Tom Brady. Vick had lead Philadelphia to the NFC East title and Tom Brady has played nearly flawless football, which helped the Patriots secure the home field advantage in the playoffs. So let’s break it down.
Tom Brady. He has thrown more touchdowns this Sunday in the Pats vs. the Bills game which increased his total to 34, a league best. In addition to that best he set a record for the most pass attempts at 319 without a single interception. Some additional Brady facts: 15 games started, 66.0 completion percentage, 34 touchdowns and 3,701 yards passing, 4 interceptions, 25 sacks, 1 lost fumble, 109.8 quarterback rating, 30 yards and 1 touchdown rushing, 13-2 record as starter. Brady is the league leader in quarterback rating, fifth in completion percentage and sixth in passing yards. He hasn't had a QB rating of under 107 since the week 9 game at Cleveland,
When sports betting remember that Vick is still arguably the most dangerous QB in the NFC heading into the playoffs.
He's third in overall QB rating and he has scored at least one touchdown (throwing or passing) in every game that he has finished this season. The straight facts on Vick: 10 games started, 63.2 completion percentage, 20 touchdowns and 2,755 yards passing, 5 interceptions, 28 sacks, 1 lost fumble, 103.6 quarterback rating, 613 yards and 8 touchdowns rushing, 8-2 record as starter.
Some of the two potential MVP’s colleagues have recently spoken out with their opinions on the MVP award. Dolphins Channing Crowder believes that everyone knows that it should be Michael Vick, but that the NFL will give the award to Brady, because, he believes, that Brady is the safer, more fan-friendly bet. Colts’ Dwight Freeney also agrees with Channing that it should be Michael Vick, as he is the closest thing to a one-man weapon. While most who have spoken up typically name Michael Vick, his dangerous background may prevent the league from honoring him quiet so soon, so we’ll see who it goes to in the end. Can the NFL see past Vick’s prison time? Or is Brady just honestly the better athlete this season?
