Bet on NCAAFVernon Adams has officially made the move from Eastern Washington to Oregon for the 2015 season. This came after Adams officially graduated from Eastern Washington, thus allowing him to transfer out from that school and off to Oregon.
This is a big move that has drawn immediate comparisons with Russell Wilson from a few years back. However, Adams has a great deal of experience with the Eagles in recent time. He helped lead the Eagles to three straight Big Sky Conference championships while making Cheney’s Roos Field, a place with red turf, one of the most imposing places to play in the FCS division.
Vernon Adams already has a good line set to his name for winning the Heisman Trophy. He has a 38-1 line to win it this year. He is far off from TCU’s Trevone Boykin at 8-1 and Ohio State Ezekiel Elliott at 9-1. Royce Freeman, a running back at Oregon, has slightly better odds than Adams at 36-1.
The Ducks have moved up to having the ninth-best chance to win the national title as Adams will be coming to as the team’s new quarterback now that Marcus Mariota is off in the NFL. The Ducks have a +2200 line to win the title this coming year. The team is far from Ohio State’s +260 line and USC’s +1600 line but well above Stanford at +4000. The Ducks also have a +240 line to win the Pac-12 while USC is up at +200 and Stanford is listed at +350.
One thing is for certain that Vernon Adams will make Oregon an interesting team to watch this year. The season will start on September 5 against, of all the teams, Adams’ former team in Eastern Washington. The Ducks game with USC on November 21 could be a huge game to watch for this coming year. A non-conference game at Michigan State early in the season will especially be one that could impact the Ducks’ season.
