Bet on NCAAFCollege football will offer a Wednesday night NCAAF betting matchup on ESPN as the Texas El Paso Miners host the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in CUSA action. College football handicappers have seen Tulsa take the NCAAF betting lead in Conference USA’s West Division while UTEP is trying to dig out of a huge hole.
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane has a college football record of 4-2 straight up and 4-1-1 against the NCAAF betting board. Last week Tulsa lost another Wednesday Night ESPN college football betting matchup as they were defeated at home by 5th ranked Boise State 21-28 but covered the spread as 9 point dogs.
The UTEP Miners have a college football record of 2-4 both straight up and against the spread. UTEP’s last college football result was on October 10 in a 20-35 loss at Memphis as 1.5-point chalks.
Tulsa would appear to have a significant college football advantage in this matchup as UTEP’s defense is one of the worst in the nation as it ranks 119th for total yards and 109th in points allowed. The Miner offense isn’t much better as it ranks 93rd overall. Tulsa is ranked 35th in scoring and 25th in points allowed.
Tulsa quarterback GJ Kinne has 1296 yards and 12 touchdown passes. Receivers Damaris Johnson, Slick Shelley, and Trae Johnson are each averaging at least 16 yards per catch.
Tulsa has had its share of problems on the college football road, however, with just 2 payouts in their last 8 away games. But UTEP has not been a reliable college football commodity at home with just 3 payouts in their last 10 games at the Sun Bowl.
Tulsa has gotten the cash in 5 out of their last 7 games at UTEP. After being hailed as the savior of the program in 2004, UTEP coach Mike Price is feeling heat as his program is in danger of its fourth consecutive losing season while looking worse than ever. Tulsa remains the co-favorite with Houston to take the West Division title.
