College Football - Virginia at North Carolina |
Written by Michelle Allan |
Bet on NCAAFCollege football handicapping this weekend includes a NCAAF betting matchup from the ACC as North Carolina will host Virginia. College football heat is raging full blast on Virginia head coach Al Groh who likely has a date with the “firing squad” come season’s end while UNC needs a NCAAF betting rebound. The Virginia Cavaliers are 0-3 straight up and 1-1 against the college football board. The Cavs had a much needed NCAAF betting bye last week after their September 19 loss at Southern Miss by a score of 34-37 as 13.5-point dogs. Virginia couldn’t have gotten off to a more catastrophic start to the college football betting season than when they lost their opener to William and Mary 14-26 in a game that was not even on the college football board. Virginia ranks just 97th in all of college football for scoring and an even worse 100th in the land for points allowed. Both of their lined games have gone over the college football total. Last week North Carolina was ranked and undefeated before losing at Georgia Tech 7-24 as 3-point dogs. The college football loss made the Tar Heels record 3-1 straight up and 1-2 against the spread. UNC has gone under the college football total in 2 out of their 3 lined games this year. Offense has been the college football weakness for North Carolina so far as they rank 90th in the nation for scoring. Defense is the strength of this team as UNC ranks 19th in points allowed. Virginia is a deceptive team as they have gotten the cash in 6 out of their last 8 games versus teams with winning records. North Carolina has shown good ability to bounce back as they are 7-2 against the spread when coming off a straight up loss. |
