Bet on NCAAFThe Pittsburgh Panthers depart the Steel City and will be seeing Orange when they meet Syracuse in the Carrier Dome Friday night. This nationally televised contest can be seen on ESPN with the opening kickoff scheduled for 7:00 PM ET.

Pittsburgh (2-2) has won 2 straight after opening season losses to Youngstown State and Cincinnati. Three weeks ago they logged a very impressive 35-17 victory against Virginia Tech, who, at the time, was ranked 13th in the country. They followed that up with a convincing 55-10 triumph albeit against little Gardner Webb before taking last week off.

Syracuse (1-3) has struggled, losing 3 of its first 4 with the lone win coming against Stony Brook 28-17 on September 15th. In those 3 losses, the Orange held a 83-57 edge in first downs, and a 1,416-1,123 edge in total yards. QB Ryan Nassib is completing passes at 66%, with 30 completions per game.

In Pitt games, the underdog is on a current 10-3 spread run. However, the favorite in this series is 9-3 ATS, with the Panthers holding a 115-44 edge in the past 3 contests. Pittsburgh is 9-4 ATS as a road favorite, and 12-6 ATS on the road against Big East opponents. Syracuse is 2-9 ATS as of late, and 3-8 ATS as the host. In the Big East, they are just 1-7 ATS recently.

These two teams match up well with the Panthers averaging 29 points to the Orange's 27. Further, Syracuse has allowed that same 29 points on average to its first 4 opponents, while Pitt yields just 23. In last year's matchup, Pittsburgh held a 6-1 edge in turnovers, leading to a 33-20 win as 10 point favorites. There was no offensive touchdown in the final 50:13 seconds of that game.

With that, Pittsburgh is favored by just 2 points by Bet Royal Sports Betting, posted at a -$110. The line opened at -3 for the Panthers, but has been moving closer since then, so check back with the college football odds throughout the week for more info. The under/over of 57.5 points is also on a $110/$100 moneyline.
