Bet on NCAAFCollege football odds will focus on a key ACC college football betting matchup on ESPN as the North Carolina Tar Heels host the Florida State Seminoles. College football odds have been gushing red ink on both teams but North Carolina is very much in the post season college football betting race.

Florida State enters this one with a record of 2 -4 straight up and 1-5 with the college football odds.  The Seminoles are on a 3-game college football betting losing streak both straight up and against the online betting board.  Florida State last played on October 10 in a 44-49 shootout home loss to the college football odds versus Georgia Tech as 3-point home favorites.  The main topic of conversation at Tallahassee is the status of legendary head coach Bobby Bowden, who is under intense fire that grows with each loss to the college football odds.  But Bowden remains defiant and said, “I don’t like sympathy.”

North Carolina has been something of a disappointment with their record of 4-2 straight up and 2-3 against the college football odds.  The Tar Heels are 0-2 in ACC play after being touted in the preseason as a college football odds favorite to contend for the conference title.  They last played on October 10 in a 42-12 win over Georgia Southern that was not on the college football odds board.  Carolina’s offense has been a cause of major concern with the college football odds as it ranks a dismal 117th nationally.  Defense is what has kept the Tar Heels in the race for a bowl as their stop-unit ranks 3rd best in the nation.

Head coach Butch Davis was pleased with the better offense against Georgia Southern, even though they were not division 1-A materiel. “I’ve got to believe it gave them some confidence,” said Davis. Florida State has something of an opposite problem to North Carolina in that they rank 107th in total defense.  Defensive coordinator Mickey Andrews is feeling the heat and frustration as well.

“We don’t have the total answers right now,” said Andrews. “We’re still searching as coaches and players to get the right set-up.  Hopefully we’ll match up a little better with North Carolina and do a little bit better job of making plays instead of giving them up. North Carolina has covered 3 out of the last 4 in this series although the Seminoles have covered 3 out of their last 4 visits to Chapel Hill.
