Bet on NCAABTonight, ASU, at the bottom of the PAC 10, will take on UCLA in a little-anticipated NCAA basketball game before the Bruins play the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday.
But don't let the sorry state of ASU's basketball program fool you. The team is coming off of a surprising upset win despite two of their best players suffering from injuries. The team put together a win with some lesser-known freshmen, while UCLA experienced a tough overtime upset.
It is also difficult to predict exactly how the game will turn out, as the two injured ASU players are questionable for tonight. But even if they are back, UCLA should win this game. The only real question is by how much. While a solid victory should be expected, with UCLA being the -11.5 favorites, a close game could prove almost as shocking as an outright win by ASU.
The Bruins are coming off of an overtime loss to the California-Berkely Bears, and missed one of their best chances of the season to make an appearance in the Top 25. Although they trailed for most of the game, UCLA came back to tie the game with a three-pointer with just one second remaining on the clock. However, the Bruins were put away in overtime, ending UCLA's six-game winning streak.
UCLA is currently ranked 38th in the country, mainly due to what is seen as their weak schedule, which is ranked 40th in the nation. The Bruins started the season at 3-4 overall and 2-3 in the PAC 10, but have battled back for a 19-8 record. In their conference, they are now second, with a 10-4 record. The team now travels to Arizona to take on ASU on Thursday and then the Number 10 Arizona Wildcats on Saturday.
If UCLA can beat both Arizona teams, it is difficult to imagine them not cracking the Top 25. ASU will be an easier win than the University of Arizona, so get your bets in at the sportsbook before it is too late.
