Bet on NCAABThe NCAA tournament's Friday night late game is between the top ranked Ohio State and No. 4 Kentucky.
With their wins over Texas-San Antonio and George Mason, the Buckeyes are certainly playing like the best team in the nation right now. But the Wildcats have a lot of young, talented players who are hoping to upset the giants of the tournament.
The sportsbook lists the Buckeyes as the 6 point favorites, with the total set at 141. Ohio State has been almost impossible to stop this season, with their inside-outside combination. Jared Sullinger plays well in the paint, while the team also has great perimeter shooters like David Lighty, William Buford, and Jon Diebler. When you play Ohio State, you have to play defense at every position.
Sullinger is leading the team in scoring with 17.1 points per game, with Buford second at 14.6 points. Lighty also averages points in the double digits, scoring 12.1 per game. Diebler is also a huge threat from the outside, as he is the best three-point shooter in the history of the Big 10. If he has a hot night, Kentucky may not stand a chance.
But the Wildcats will try. Look for them to rely on Brandon Knight, who is coming off of a 30 point performance in the team's win against West Virginia. If he has an off night, then Kentucky has little chance of getting the upset, but if he is on, then anything can happen. The Buckeyes' only two losses this season came from teams who got huge performances out of their guards.
Kentucky may be the most athletic team the Buckeyes have had to match up against all year. While they have a number of veterans on the team, their younger players lead in the scoring department. They come into this game averaging 76 points per game, while their opponents score a mere 64 points against them. Ohio State should be concerned about the speed of the team, if nothing else.
