March Madness 2009 fans have been paid off in all four of Michigan State’s March Madness betting appearances in the Big Dance this year. The Spartans had a close call in their March Madness 2009 opener against Robert Morris as they beat the March Madness betting board by just a half of a point in a 77-62 win as 14.5-point chalks.
Raymar Morgan and Draymond Green led Sparty with 16 points. It was yet another March Madness 2009 close call for Michigan State in their second round game against Southern Cal. The Spartans prevailed 74-69 and beat the March Madness 2009 board by just one point as 4-point chalks!
Travis Walton was the March Madness 2009 hero in this one as he led State with 18 points. In Sweet Sixteen March Madness 2009 action the Spartans drew last year’s March Madness betting national champion Kansas Jayhawks and prevailed 67-62 as 1-point favorites.
Goran Suton was the main March Madness 2009 catalyst for State against KU with 20 points while Kalin Lucas added 18. Michigan State was given little chance in their Elite Eight March Madness 2009 matchup against the Louisville Cardinals, who were the top seed in all the land.
State got the cash in a strong 64-52 upset win and cover as 6.5-point dogs. Most impressive to March Madness 2009 gamblers, the Spartans dominated and suffocated Louisville with strong defense and the game was never in doubt. Suton was again the offensive hero with 19 points.
Michigan State’s March Madness 2009 strength is their defense, which was in the upper tier of the national rankings. Their offense is well rounded and diversified. Lucas is the leading scorer with an average of 14.6 points per game.
The Spartans have gone under the total in 11 out of their last 15 games. State will enter Final Four action against UConn as 4-point dogs on the opening line.
