Bet on NCAABFor nearly three weeks now, there has been only one undefeated mens basketball team left in the NCAA Division I. And that team is the Murray State Racers, one of the most unlikely teams to have such national attention directed at them.

But with their first year head coach, 23-0 record overall, and 11-0 record in the Ohio Valley Conference, they have earned all of the attention and hype.

Tonight, the Racers host their conference rivals from Tennessee State. NCAA odds list the Racers as the -10 ½ point favorites to come out on top and extend their undefeated season. The total has not yet been set for this game, so let's look at each team's numbers in points allowed and points scored per game. In every comparison, though, Murray State comes out way ahead.

The Tigers from Tennessee State have been experiencing a pretty good, although somewhat unremarkable, season. They are 15-10 overall and 9-1 at home. But they are only 5-8 on the road. They score an average of 69.6 points per game, but give up 68.0 points per game, an incredibly thin margin of error for the team. However, the Tigers are on a five-game win streak right now, with three of those wins being earned on the road.

The Racers have both a better offense and defense than Tennessee State. Murray State averages 75.2 points per game, while allowing an average of only 61.3. The team also shoots incredibly well from three-point range, averaging 40.7 percent from beyond the arc. They are coming off of a particularly brutal shooting night on Saturday against last-place Tennessee-Martin, where they went 3-for-17 from three-point land.

In the end, this is Murray State's game to lose. While not a terrible team, Tennessee State is the severe underdog in this fight. The Tigers have not defeated a ranked team since the 1996-1997 season, and lose to ranked teams by an average of 25.6 points. Finally, the Racers lead the series between the two teams for all time, 46-15.
