Bet on NCAABThe UNLV Runnin' Rebels will be playing against the Wyoming Cowboys in the first round of the Mountain West conference tournament at Las Vegas' Thomas and Mack Center on Thursday.
UNLV is third in the Mountain West with a 25-7 record and a 9-5 MWC record. The Rebels are #20 in both major polls. The Cowboys are sixth with a 20-10 record and a 6-8 MWC record.
The two teams are split in games with each other this year. Wyoming won in Laramie on February 4 by a score of 68-66. UNLV won on March 3 in Las Vegas by a score of 74-63. This happened in the exact same Thomas and Mack Center arena that this game will be played in. This is also the last game that both teams played before entering the conference tournament.
UNLV is led by sophomore forward Mike Moser. He is getting 14 points and 10.7 rebounds in each game. This included 17 points and 12 rebounds last time against the Cowboys. Senior guard Chace Stanback is getting 13 points per game this year. However, he was held scoreless in 15 minutes against the Cowboys last time.
Wyoming is 2-5 in its last seven games. The Cowboys are also averaging 29.1 rebounds per game. This makes them ranked at 335 out of nearly 350 Division I schools in the category.
The Cowboys have three players who are getting 12 points or more in each game. Leonard Washington, a junior forward, has 12.7 per game. Francisco Cruz, a senior guard, has 12.3 per game and also led the Cowboys with 16 points in their prior game with the Rebels.
The familiarity between the two teams is strong but the Rebels are by far the dominant favorites. The Rebels have a -9 advantage over the Cowboys. UNLV has a -500 moneyline bet on it while Wyoming is at +350. The over/under is listed at 128. Many of these sportsbook bets could come from how UNLV normally plays at the Thomas and Mack Center.
